The Car

Engine: 1380cc, Peter May cam, offset rockers, modified head, 45 DCOE Weber carburettor, 7.5" clutch with roller bearing release, over 100bhp @ flywheel. Good "Fast Road" spec.

Gearbox/rear axle: SCCR gearbox with 3.9 or 3.7 ratio differential. Rolling starts and sweeping corners do protect transmission!

Wheels & tyres: 5J Minilites  

Body: 1-piece fibre front end, fibre bootlid, steel body, lightened steel doors, Safety Devices roll cage 

Midget Racing

In 2007 I raced in the FISC Eurotour/Legendary Circuits series driving my MG Midget (see panel below). FISC is a great series for a busy racer, with 10 races spread over 4 weekends meaning maximum track time without interrupting every weekend - it really suits my lifestyle. See the full story here.

The camaraderie in FISC is unbeatable, race hard together, then we help each other repair cars and wine & dine together in the Spridget Cafe. Gentlemanly driving is mandatory, tall tales encouraged!

MG racing is where I'm happy at the moment, with the odd kart race too! In May 2009 Midgetmax Racing is taking part in a series of Club 100 races at Spa in Belgium - not the main F1 track I hasten to add, but it's going to be a real experience. Watch the blog for up-to-the-minute details.
